Medieval Studies Doctoral Conference
Since 2010, the Medieval Studies Doctoral Conference has been organised every year by the three doctoral programs of Eötvös Loránd University. In 2023 the organisers decided to broaden the scope of the conference and welcome presentations in English as well. The fourteenth Medieval Studies Doctoral Conference will be held in Budapest, 1-2 June 2023. The organisers are inviting doctoral students from Hungary and abroad to read their papers in Hungarian or English on medieval history, art history, material culture, and the intellectual history of Europe and Hungary. Participants are expected to give twenty-minute presentations, followed by ten-minute discussions. Please send your abstracts of up to 200 words, in Hungarian or English, to firstname.lastname@example.org by 17 February 2023, stating your affiliation and the name of your thesis supervisor. Please also indicate if you need financial support for travel and accommodation.
Applicants will be informed of the acceptance of their abstracts by 10 March 2023. The organisers intend to publish the papers presented at the conference in the forthcoming volume of the Micae mediaevales series.
